next time: more public space (vera?), more outreach to places like OFH
maybe do another one in a couple months? June? Let's start brainstorming.
Sars: will discuss with civic engagement committee at vera
5. march theme – the media
Jon will talk with Hollow Earth's person who will write something for the newsletter.
Also: Reclaim the Media info about analogue signals.
indymedia/guerilla video/pirate radio
magmafest involvement – tabling/volunteering – how many can we get in?
6. skillshare – is it going to happen in March? Nobody knows!
7. recipe book
em bought a bunch of notecards & can do a big printing. Sold out a left bank. Needs $50 from collective to cover costs.
Sell at vera's concession booth
8. vera civic engagement
sars: backgroud: vera started out of a political need to address the TDO, engaged youth with activism. Over last few years vera has settled in/settled down, there has been less engagement with things outside of vera's walls. Longtime volunteers want to see vera doing more civic involvement. Vera can bring in more people into utilizing their space – more tabling from tiny mercury, left bank. Have silkscreened posters about history of vera's activist past / home alive & mia zapata. More film showings (afropunk, don't need you). Making activism acceptable and comfortable for the people who come to vera.
9. zine projects
new zine idea: a guide to DIY seattle. A zine with pages of different spaces and projects. Like the bikery, the bike shack, bend-it, CEP – describing all the different projects, stuff that is more DIY than what generally goes in the guide to seattle
10. Behive collective – have an open invitation to come to communities and present, sell their art, etc. Shall we invite them? Any objections (none at meeting). Venue?
